For starters, I've been a copywriter ever since I entered the workforce back in 2020. It was literally part of my job to teach writers how to evaluate arguments and construct cohesive essays. Today, I mostly write to secure funding and donations for local healthcare causes. If you're talking about academic credentials - I hold a BSocSci (Distinction) from NUS, with a major in Geography (yes, Geography) with a minor in Japanese studies, and I've also made it to the Dean's list in AY 2019/2020, given only to the top 1% of undergraduates in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) for outstanding academic performance. Read my thesis here:https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/176333And if you're looking even deeper, yes - I got an 'A' for Geography, for my A Levels.
My Geography teacher in JC changed the way I saw the subject. He showed me that geography is everywhere, and once I learnt how to approach the questions, it no longer felt so difficult. Later, I saw other juniors and students struggling with the same thing. Often, they understood the ideas but didn’t know how to phrase their answers in a way that earned marks. I became a tutor because I wanted to help them make that connection.
